Flexibility and Convenience
Courses are 7 weeks long with a brief break between sessions. Take two courses at a time to finish quickly in less than two trimesters or take one course at a time and finish in just under three trimesters pending course availability. With multiple entry points per year, you can get started when it’s best for you.
Health Coaching Model
Health Coaches provide a safe, guided environment, and professional expertise to support their clients’ health journey. Learn to build trust and facilitate behavior change through the health coaching model: deep listening, effective and empathic communication, and tools for self-development to educate clients on self-care practices.
Real World Practice
Gain real world coaching practice hours through the final practicum course where students evaluate and coach patients under the supervision of a clinical instructor at local clinical facilities to practice skills learned in the didactic portion of the program.
Supportive Learning Community
Participate in a peer-coaching model and case-based practice to apply tools, skills, and utilize resources for effective health coaching and client outcomes. Practice coaching sessions are followed by faculty-led developmental feedback on practical coaching skills, helping you refine your approach and fulfill student practice hour requirements.

What will I learn?
Learn how to facilitate the client’s process by identifying and benchmarking stages and patterns of change, effectively interfacing with a wide range of interdisciplinary health care providers to educate clients on a variety of self-care practices. With curriculum developed in partnership
with subject matter experts from around the nation, you will be prepared to:
- Internalize the four pillars for effective coaching and enhanced personal well-being.
- Instantiate a point of view that reflects evidence-informed practices and personalized coaching strategies.
- Develop a coaching playbook that delivers client results.
What career opportunities can I explore with this degree?
Depending upon prior degree(s) and/or credentials, along with professional experience, you may explore roles in the growing field of health coaching such as:
- Healthcare: health coaching within concierge and boutique clinics, medical centers, hospitals, chiropractic offices, long-term care facilities, occupational health, employee wellness, chief experience officers, and other clinical care settings.
- Wellness: health coaching within yoga, wellness, and spa retreats, fitness centers, private practice (coaches can self refer under new CPT code (when in place).
- Corporate: Chief Wellness Officer, Chief Experience Officer, Employee Health Coach, event coordinators, community wellness programs.

This course provides the further development of interpersonal, communication, and patient care skills is the focus of this course. Students evaluate and coach patients under the supervision of a clinical instructor at local clinical facilities to practice skills learned in the didactic portion of the program. Students finalize the plan for affiliations.

Note: INCR 6112/NUTR 6204 and INCR 6114/NUTR 6204 can be taken at any point. INCR 6115 must be the last course due to being a practicum. INCR 6113/NUTR 6205 must be prior to INCR 6114/NUTR 6114.
