This affordable certificate can help you enhance your current practice or build a new career in the growing field of health coaching. It can be completed on its own, and is embedded within our master’s programs. NWHSU is an approved program with the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches (NBHWC).

Karen Lawson MD, DABIHM, NBC-HWC

Dr. Lawson is an integrative physician who has been a leader in developing and building the field of integrative health coaching since 2004. She is a founding and current board member of the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching. She loves to help students find and follow their own passion for wellbeing and transformational healing.

Rebecca Weinand, MEd, NBC-HWC

Weinand is a Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and holds an integrative coaching certificate from Vanderbilt University Health Coaching Certificate Program. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Public Health (DrPH-Health Ed) through Loma Linda University.

Megan Hadley MA, NBC-HWC

With a graduate minor in health equity and emphasis on cultural and nature-based approaches to healing, Hadley provides a helpful lens to health coaching and integrative health disciplines. She aims to build connections between disciplines to empower all integrative health professionals to engage in personal, professional, and field-related growth in their careers.

Olivia Beisler NBC-HWC

Beisler is a national board certified coach with a Masters in Integrative Health and Wellbeing coaching. She has been coaching and assistant teaching for four years. She is excited to connect with future health coaches, share her knowledge and experience, and support new health providers in their educational journey.
